Amazon is quickly becoming one of the most powerful retailers in the world. Thousands of sellers are using Amazon to sell products online. With brand name power and millions of monthly visitors, Amazon is a great fit for many sellers. However, this eCommerce giant is not without downsides. Amazon’s free membership features are limited, and come with high listing fees – $0.99 per item. It’s hard to say exactly what Amazon’s fee percentage is, as they have dozens of item categories and the fees per sale vary drastically per category. They average around 15%, which is significantly more than most other marketplaces we’ve compared.

This is great for you as a seller because the success of other sellers on the site has the potential to benefit you individually. This creates a great sense of community among sellers and provides shoppers with a pleasant shopping experience.

Different than Amazon because Storenvy focuses extensively on indie brands and supporting small businesses.
